We are proud and happy to announce a long-overdue collaborative effort with Bar Marco! This Friday evening – April 3rd- at 5pm, we’ll be celebrating the opening month for Unblurred at Commonplace Voluto with our friends from the Strip. We will be providing coffee, they will be providing beer, and TOGETHER we will craft a unique coffee cocktail. Research has been going on as we speak, and your inaugural spring happy hour can begin with the union of the deepness of the bean and the svelt taste of…?
Also, our (previously) own Megan Drew (of appropriately named Drew’s Pie Supply) now at Five Points Artisan Bakery (who supplies our baked goods in Pittsburgh), will be bringing her signature pies to the event! We’re quite excited to create great tatste with our friends in food and drink, and want to share the joy of the kitchen and bar with you.
But wait, there’s more! If you act now you’ll also get to see local East End artist Stephanie Zito’s work on opening night. Of course, she’s the whole reason we’re getting together. She does art, hoola hooping, and strives to care well for all those around here. Here’s what she says about her most recent work:
When we surrender our grip on control and expectation, actively choosing to enter a place of play, we allow the light of this present moment to penetrate our vision and discover to possibility for beauty that is ever-present around us. These works are explorations on paper that offer impressions of such surrender.
What a night. Looking forward to seeing you there… Cheers!
