COMMONPLACE COFFEE ANNOUNCES RETURN OF NORTH SIDE COFFEE & CARS, FIRST EVENT IN MONTHLY SERIES

3.31..22

PITTSBURGH, PA (March 31, 2022) – Commonplace Coffee recently announced the return of North Side Coffee & Cars, kicking-off on Saturday, April 2, from 9am-2pm. The event first launched in fall 2021 as part of Pittsburgh Coffee Week. It returns this year as a monthly event series running the first Saturday of each month, April through November. More details about each of the monthly events can be found online at Commonplace Coffee’s event calendar: commonplacecoffee.com/events.

This event series celebrates the intersection of community, coffee, and cars in Pittsburgh. Commonplace Coffee invites local car, truck, and motorcycle enthusiasts to join them for a casual gathering over coffee. Commonplace Coffee will provide complimentary drip coffee (while supplies last) with additional beverages available for purchase at their Mexican War Streets cafe. The Coop Chicken & Waffles food truck will also be onsite from 10am-2pm for their inaugural event with additional food trucks planned for future events. Vehicle parking for the event will take place in the parking lot of the Pittsburgh Area Postal Union Building at 1414 Brighton Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15212, located across the street from Commonplace Coffee Mexican War Streets at 1501 Buena Vista Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15212.

This monthly event series is championed by Commonplace Coffee Service Technician Mitchell Thomas, whose previous experience in the Cincinnati coffee scene served as inspiration. Mitchell shares, “To me, Cars and Coffee has always been about camaraderie and a shared passion. It doesn’t matter how expensive your ride is, how rare it is, how clean it is, how well it runs, or how long you’ve owned it. As long as you love it or think it’s special, odds are that someone else will too. In Cincinnati, swapping stories and talking shop over a cup of coffee became a weekly ritual that I want to share with as many people as I can in Pittsburgh. I can’t wait to see what you drive or ride, it’s cheaper than therapy!”

More information about this exciting event series is available at the Commonplace Coffee Blog.
