COMMONPLACE KITCHEN

Commonplace Kitchen approaches our food program with the same ethos that defines Commonplace’s coffee program: careful curation of exceptional, approachable offerings that bring people together, and belief in the power of simple, everyday rituals.

From our baked goods, to our breakfast & lunch menu, to our grab-and-go items, everything in Commonplace Kitchen is made by hand, with craft and care.

The majority of Commonplace Kitchen’s commercial kitchen and baking operations are now housed at Commonplace Coffee’s Shadyside cafe, located at 5743 Walnut Street, with continuing support from our original production space in Indiana. This expansion gave rise to Commonplace Kitchen, a refreshed identity created to better spotlight the talents of the teams behind our scratch-made offerings.

OUR LOCATIONS

In June of 2015, Commonplace launched its first official non-coffee project: Commonplace Bakery at Reeger’s Farm in Indiana, Pennsylvania. Since then, we have crafted a menu that complements the coffee but is also an exciting experience with a story all its own. Our made-from-scratch bakery items can be found in all of our cafes across Pittsburgh and Indiana, with a significant portion of our kitchen and bakery operations relocating to our new Pittsburgh Shadyside location, opening later this summer.
