DIRECTIONS

Since the beginning, Commonplace Coffee has been dedicated to fostering community and meeting people where they're at. In this spirit, when the opportunity arose to open a cafe within the Northland Public Library following major renovations to their building, we simply couldn't pass it up.

This is our first time establishing a cafe outside the city of Pittsburgh or town of Indiana, PA. We've been overwhelmed by the support and excitement Northland's community has shown us! Building bridges with neighbors, old and new, lies at the very heart of our work – and we couldn't be more grateful for the incredible kindness our new neighbors continue to show us.

Coffee and books are an age-old pair, and being able to extend our full cafe experience to a community hub like Northland is a profound honor.

The community in and around Northland is vibrant and special. Walk into the library any day and you’ll see families making their weekly book run; rushes of students in the afternoon after school lets out; people from all walks of life seeking a peaceful corner to play or rest. At the core of Commonplace’s ethos is a dedication to serving local communities with unique, curated menu options. Having the opportunity to share our devotion to craft and care with this incredible collection of humans is truly a gift.
