COMMONPLACE COFFEE RELEASES DONATION COFFEE IN PARTNERSHIP WITH ARTIST JIM POLLOCK

11.14.22

PITTSBURGH, PA (November 15, 2022) – Commonplace Coffee has partnered with iconic Pittsburgh-based folk artist Jim Pollock, known for his gig poster designs for the band Phish and other music industry staples, to release a second annual collaborative donation coffee blend. The coffee officially hits Commonplace Coffee shelves today, Tuesday, November 15, and will be available in their lineup for eight weeks through January 10, 2023.

Commonplace Coffee will donate 25% of proceeds from sales of this coffee to The Divided Sky Foundation, an organization founded by Phish Guitarist Trey Anastasio that delivers quality care and compassionate treatment to those affected by alcoholism and addiction. You can learn more about the coffee and purchase a 12oz bag priced at $19.75 at all Commonplace Coffee locations and online at commonplacecoffee.com/coffees

Commonplace Coffee will also be providing an exclusive holographic walking mug sticker designed by Jim for every order placed through their website of two or more bags of Pollock Blend (e.g. buy 2 bags, get 1 label; buy 3 bags, get 2 labels, etc.)

Of the collaboration, Commonplace Coffee marketing manager Lauren Young says, “Working with Jim and his partner Jeni to select the blend and create this unique label was such a special experience.” She adds, “They spent time with us tasting coffees, working through label designs, and coordinating release details to make this project a reality. They’re wonderful partners and even better people. We’re honored to work with them again this year.”

The blend features tasting notes of dried cherry, peanut brittle, and dark chocolate. Coffee components include Teojomulco from Mexico; Nesru Aba Nura from Ethiopia; and Mapendo from Democratic Republic of the Congo.
