In 2020, we kicked off our collaboration with the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy (PPC). Allegheny Commons Park will be the seventh PPC park we’ve featured in this series. Proceeds from this blend benefit the restoration of Allegheny Commons Park. Established in 1867, it is Pittsburgh’s oldest park. Serving as a “front yard” for the North Side’s neighborhoods, Allegheny Commons Park is known for the mature canopy trees, wide promenade, and serene Lake Elizabeth.
This blend contains two stellar coffees, the first of which was grown by Walter Perez in Estelí, Nicaragua. This coffee is chocolate-forward and sweet. The second blend component was grown by Luis Alberto in Nueva Segovia, Nicaragua. Luis contributed a balanced honey processed Pacamara with notes of melon and orange. These two coffees work together to bring us rich sweetness and warm, earthy notes – perfect for the beginning of spring.
