Our Fruit Salad Blend was created out of the sheer passion that our Head Roaster, Erin, has for coffee. This modern blend was originally created to be a coffee used in the US Brewers Cup competition. We’re very proud to highlight this offering as one of our exclusive Roaster’s Choice releases.

This blend contains two beautiful coffees from Colombia. The first is a honey processed Red Bourbon from producer Jorge Rojas at Finca La Roca in Planadas, Tolima. We have been working with his coffee since 2024 and are consistently impressed with it’s quality and consistency. His coffees are highly expressive and complex; perfect for a unique and expressive offering like this Fruit Salad Blend.

The second coffee is a watermelon co-ferment from one of our long time exporting/importing partners, The Coffee Quest (TQC) via the Los Patios processing facility in La Plata, Huila. This facility is run by TCQ’s Research and Development Team - here, they purchase parchment from local producers who conduct the first stage of processing at the facility: a 12 hour anaerobic fermentation in cherry. Next, the TCQ team adds a watermelon concentrate and proprietary solution to a second round of fermentation and absorption for 48 hours The result of these fermentation stages: a candy-like sweetness and complex flavor profile.

In Erin’s words: “This blend came about from a search for a coffee that has high sweetness, florality, and exceptional clarity of sensory attributes. On its own, the selection from Los Patios has vibrant aromatics and a syrupy body. Including in the other component from La Roca added a florality and complexity that would be lacking otherwise. The result is an intense, yet balanced, experience.”

This blend is for coffee enthusiasts and anyone curious about what coffee tastes like in the hands of people with one primary goal: innovation. These two coffees come together in a beautiful and complex way; we taste strawberry and watermelon candy, lime, kiwi, a mix of red florals and cocoa nibs. We are excited to share this mind bending coffee with you.

FAQs

Shipping Information

We operate Monday-Friday and strive to ship your order within 2 business days of the order or renewal date (not including weekends.) Your order will be shipped by UPS or USPS to your door. You will receive a tracking notification when your order ships.

Roasting Information

All coffee is roasted fresh to order on our Loring S35 Kestrel Coffee Roaster. All bags are stamped with the roast date, and we think coffee tastes best if consumed within 2-4 weeks. However, if left whole bean and stored in a cool, dry place away from sunlight, the coffee can remain enjoyable for up to 4-6 months, depending on the bag or container. Most of our coffee is roasted to a medium or light/medium roast level, except for All Day, which is our staple dark roast offering.

How do I purchase this as a gift?

You can include a note when adding the product to your cart (or by emailing our team) to request that certain coffees be excluded.
