DONATION BLEND

BLEND DESIGN:

Floral, fruity and delicate; staff-developed for phenomenal shots of espresso. Proceeds benefit Allegheny CleanWays.

AVAILABLE SINCE 2025

The creation of our newest staff-developed offering, Confluence Blend, was spearheaded by a Commonplace staff member outside of our roasting team. This year's staff-developed blend is brought to you by Cafe Manager, Creed; she contributed her coffee knowledge, culinary background, and full “creed”tivity to this blend. Proceeds from this blend benefit Allegheny CleanWays, a Pittsburgh nonprofit that empowers communities to clean up litter and illegal dumping.

Creed loves espresso and works hard to dial in coffees on espresso in our cafes, ensuring they taste great all day long. In her work, Creed daydreams of espresso blends that play a distinct role on bar while scratching a unique itch among coffee lovers. Her vision for this blend was an exceptionally strong espresso offering, great with milk, fruit forward and floral.

In Creed’s words:

“[Confluence] was made with the idea that it would be for espresso, whether that be alone or in a beverage with milk. I wanted to give customers a chance to try something that differed from the espresso blends we currently offer. Something delicate, floral, and very sweet. There are a few things I really hope people take away from this, like customers asking more questions about our coffee in general. It is a really cool experience helping customers find out their preferences and getting them a coffee that they can enjoy. The other would be highlighting Allegheny CleanWays, their team, and reminding us to keep our communities and city clean. Drawing attention to what we can do to eliminate debris in our rivers that run through the city. ([This] is the other component of what created the name ‘Confluence’!)”

Confluence Blend is an incredibly strong, third iteration of our staff-developed blends. Our staff is incredibly passionate and capable; blends like this would not be created without the vision and tasting preferences of people on our team, like Creed. This blend is clean, delicate, floral and fruity and best served on espresso.

FAQs

Shipping Information

We operate Monday-Friday and strive to ship your order within 2 business days of the order or renewal date (not including weekends.) Your order will be shipped by UPS or USPS to your door. You will receive a tracking notification when your order ships.

Roasting Information

All coffee is roasted fresh to order on our Loring S35 Kestrel Coffee Roaster. All bags are stamped with the roast date, and we think coffee tastes best if consumed within 2-4 weeks. However, if left whole bean and stored in a cool, dry place away from sunlight, the coffee can remain enjoyable for up to 4-6 months, depending on the bag or container. Most of our coffee is roasted to a medium or light/medium roast level, except for All Day, which is our staple dark roast offering.

How do I purchase this as a gift?

You can include a note when adding the product to your cart (or by emailing our team) to request that certain coffees be excluded.
