This is our fourth year sourcing coffee from La Bendición, one of the farms overseen by producer Luis Alberto Balladarez. This is the second offering of Luis’ to release in 2024. The first was a honey processed Pacamara. This release is a natural processed iteration of the same variety. Pacamara is known for its large bean size and potential for very high quality. This coffee was processed at Beneficio Las Segovias, a facility managed by Luis and his son. Their coffee mill has produced some of the best coffees in Nicaragua, including many Cup of Excellence award winners. Luis’ coffees placed 6th in 2023, 3rd in 2022, 6th in 2021, 1st in 2020, 1st and 5th in 2018, and 3rd and 13th in 2017.

We chose this coffee to highlight the amazing output from Luis and his farms in Nicaragua. This coffee presents with a silky mouthfeel, a bright blueberry note throughout, and a soft citric acidity. We also taste limoncello and a rich caramel finish.

FAQs

Shipping Information

We operate Monday-Friday and strive to ship your order within 2 business days of the order or renewal date (not including weekends.) Your order will be shipped by UPS or USPS to your door. You will receive a tracking notification when your order ships.

Roasting Information

All coffee is roasted fresh to order on our Loring S35 Kestrel Coffee Roaster. All bags are stamped with the roast date, and we think coffee tastes best if consumed within 2-4 weeks. However, if left whole bean and stored in a cool, dry place away from sunlight, the coffee can remain enjoyable for up to 4-6 months, depending on the bag or container. Most of our coffee is roasted to a medium or light/medium roast level, except for All Day, which is our staple dark roast offering.

How do I purchase this as a gift?
