2023 was the first year we sourced an Indian coffee. This milestone was the start of an ongoing exploration of the incredible coffees being produced in India. This is our first coffee from producers Shreedev and Sushmita Hulikere. They manage Hulikere Estate, a sprawling 100 hectare farm, with over 100 year-round employees. Hulikere is also a part of the KaadKaapi collective, which focuses on integrating coffee production systems within coffee farms and the natural environment. All KaadKaapi coffee is hand picked and processed within the same day. Processing techniques include float removal, disc pulping, natural fermentation, and finally meticulous drying in clay brick yards. This is a massive feat that contributes to the impressive quality of their coffee.
We selected this coffee to highlight Shreedev and Sushmita Hulikere and the many talented producers of Chikmagalur, India. This is a sweet and spicy coffee with a nice kiss of acidity to balance everything out. It is easy to drink and perfect for cold winter days.
FAQs
Shipping Information
We operate Monday-Friday and strive to ship your order within 2 business days of the order or renewal date (not including weekends.) Your order will be shipped by UPS or USPS to your door. You will receive a tracking notification when your order ships.
Roasting Information
All coffee is roasted fresh to order on our Loring S35 Kestrel Coffee Roaster. All bags are stamped with the roast date, and we think coffee tastes best if consumed within 2-4 weeks. However, if left whole bean and stored in a cool, dry place away from sunlight, the coffee can remain enjoyable for up to 4-6 months, depending on the bag or container. Most of our coffee is roasted to a medium or light/medium roast level, except for All Day, which is our staple dark roast offering.
How do I purchase this as a gift?
