This coffee is exclusively available for purchase in-person at any of our cafe locations.

This is our first year purchasing coffee from Finca Los Hermanos via Cima Cafe.

In February of 2026 - Commonplace Coffee’s Head of Coffee, Vikki Harris, was an international judge for a coffee competition in Yoro, Honduras called YorExpo. This competition was put together by our very good friends at Cima Cafe, with the express purpose of: shining a light on the astronomical potential these producers have to cultivate and process exceptional coffees. Here, we were introduced to some of the best coffees that the region of Yoro has to offer, and we also made purchasing commitments to 4 of the coffees that placed in the top 10 of the competition! This lot from Finca Los Hermanos placed 8th in YorExpo.

Yoro is a historically underrepresented coffee growing region in Honduras. When specialty coffee companies look to purchase high-end coffee from Honduras, there are a few locations that are almost always top of mind: Santa Barbara and La Paz, Intibucá and Lempira, etc.. Yoro, as of now, is seen by most buyers as a place for quantity over quality.

Finca Los Hermanos is a 19 manzana (just over 32 acres) farm near Chaguitillos, Yoro overseen by Santos Germán Hernández Hernández. Santos’ process for production is very simple: after ripe cherries are picked, they are taken straight to solar dryers where they are dried whole.

We selected this coffee to support the efforts of Cima Cafe in highlighting the quality that can be found in Yoro, as well as to support the great work of Santos Hernández at Finca Los Hermanos. This coffee had one of the more unique profiles at the competition, and really stood out as a coffee that showcased the multitudes that Yoro holds. It has a mellow, sweet earthiness that reminds us of pistachios and pine nuts, a mellow citric quality that was reminiscent of orange or lemon peel, a light sweetness and flavor of homemade whipped cream, and a faint fruitiness in the finish that ranges from dried apples to dried berries.

FAQs

Shipping Information

We operate and roast Monday-Friday and strive to ship your order within 2-4 business days (not including weekends). All items will ship together. Your order will be delivered by UPS or USPS to your door within 2-4 business days of the package being shipped. You will receive a tracking notification when your order ships.

Roasting Information

All coffee is roasted fresh to order on our Loring S35 Kestrel Coffee Roaster. All bags are stamped with the roast date, and we think coffee tastes best if consumed within 2-4 weeks. However, if left whole bean and stored in a cool, dry place away from sunlight, the coffee can remain enjoyable for up to 4-6 months, depending on the bag or container. Most of our coffee is roasted to a medium or light/medium roast level, except for All Day, which is our staple dark roast offering.

How do I purchase this as a gift?

You can include a note when adding the product to your cart (or by emailing our team) to request that certain coffees be excluded.
